Tests
Why the GRE rather than the GMAT
Liwaza prepares the GRE and does not offer GMAT preparation.
Two tests, two timelines
For a Francophone applicant, the GMAT takes about two years of intensive preparation. The GRE takes about six months, with a target above 320 out of 340.
Unlike the GMAT, which is aimed at business programs, the GRE lets candidates apply to more kinds of programs. That includes engineering master’s degrees at some of the most sought-after schools in the world, for example at MIT, Stanford and Berkeley, health-related programs such as psychology, and PhDs. Management programs remain open as well.
Essays, the CV and interviews are coached whatever the target program.
Master’s, MBA or Executive
The path is the same: GRE, English, CV, essays, interviews and funding. For a more experienced profile, the Executive MBA is the program we point to.
English is prepared with IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum we aim for is B2, and C1 is the ideal.
